WhatsApp announced Group Video Calling Feature earlier this month. Now, it seems that they have already started testing this feature with WhatsApp Beta users,
using whatsapp group video calling

During the Facebook F8 Conference which happened earlier this month, a few announcements were made regarding some new features coming in WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Oculus. Of these features, one of the most exciting and most-awaited features announced was the group video calling feature that will be coming soon in Instagram as well as WhatsApp. But, it seems that they have already started testing the feature with WhatsApp Beta users. Although the feature is not available for all the beta users, but as per the reports by WABetaInfo, users with WhatsApp build 2.18.52 on iOS and 2.18.145+ on Android could have the group video calling feature activated for them.

There is no invite system or any other method to get this feature hands-on and try before anyone else. The feature is available only for a few selected WhatsApp users as of now. But, they will be rolling out this feature very soon to all the beta users. To check if you have received the Group Calling feature, you need to place a normal video call to someone from an individual chat and look for the 'Add Participant' Button at the top right corner of the calling screen. If you see the button, you can add multiple friends to the call and enjoy the group chat. However, if you don't, you're amongst the majority of people who still haven't received this feature yet.

Notably, WhatsApp recently updated some Group features giving more control to the group admins such as taking admin rights from someone, adding group description, managing who gets to change the subject, icon, and description of the group. In Q4 2017, Zuckerburg announced that WhatsApp has 1.5 billion active users and sees 60 billion messages sent per day. Well, the numbers clearly show how big WhatsApp is at the moment. Currently, WhatsApp is available in over 180 countries. So, rolling out new big features such as this one, they need to do some rigorous testing. We hope that WhatsApp rolls out this feature to the public as soon as possible. Meanwhile, join the WhatsApp Beta Programme if available in your country and check out if you're the lucky one to get this feature before anyone else!
