Bully: Anniversary Edition Review For Android

by Henry Emmanuel

Rockstar games has recently launched the acclaimed Bully anniversary edition and it has been buzzing all over the internet. While the GTA series still holds a special place in the heart of real gamers, Bully is certainly not lacking behind. To celebrate there 10th year anniversary, Rock star decided to release Bully anniversary edition on android platform and iOS. From the start the game was produce in a “Hood Cult Classic” way and it’s certainly too cool for school. Playing this game reminds me of The Warriors one of the best block buster from Rock Star. There isn’t much to say here as the storyline is perfectly well written and structured.

Bully is a third person adventure action packed game where you’ve to control Jimmy Hopkins a mischievous 15 year old boy. Your mission is to fish out the social hierarchy of the corrupt and crumbling prep school, Bullworth Academy. While doing so, there are lot’s of amazing punches to do. You’ve to beat the jocks at dodge ball, play little tiny pranks, win or lose the girl and survive a year in the worst school around. Controlling Jimmy is kind of fun as his severely shaved head and impressive trouble is a bit awesome and addictive.

The controls has certainly been programmed pretty well. Thus there’s certainly no ill feeling towards the game control as every icon has been placed in the perfect direction. On the left you’ve got a joystick to move Jimmy around while on the right, the joystick can be used to look around. A few sensitive buttons sit in the right hand corner, and swipes let you pick your weapons.there are tons of icons (controls) that tends to show in a dynamic way depending on the action you are about to perform. We’ve got the thumbs down, the punch controls and others. You can also fight against your class opponents using catapult and play massive pranks on them.

The graphics isn’t bad either as every tiny aspect of it has been designed with impressive gorgeous clarity. You’ve got a lot of school buildings to explore and tons of quest to complete. However at times you’d certainly be lost on which quest to choose. Everything about Bully is balanced as the auto-targeting conrol feature is something that won’t make the game look bad. The head-to-head classroom and arcade style mini-games challenge is one hell of a good thing to play with your friends since a multiplayer mode has been added in the game. Moreover you can see who’s able to dissect the frog fastest in Biology, solve word problems in English, help a flying squirrel destroy his enemies with acorns in Nut Shots, and much more.

Bully anniversary has been optimized to run on at least premium android device with 1 GB RAM. And it’s a paid game which comes for a little token $6.99. From the start to the finish, the graphics is “superblically” gorgeous and there are lot’s of side quest to pertake in. There’s violence in the game and you’ve to be ready for a fierce fight. From what I have played so far, I do say the storyline is quiet long and each chapter is intriguing. There’s something about Bully that makes me love the game more, whether it’s the pranks, his severally shaved head or sarcastic quip of school mate violence call it anything but the game is worth playing.

Final Words

If you’ve never played the PC version of Bully then it’s time to unleash it on your android smartphone. The game works flawlessly unlike the telltale Batman series. Bully is well polished and it keeps reminding me of The Warriors. There’s much more to come from Rock star games!..
